My latest textured pieces are quite varied and I use a myriad of colourful combinations & special paint effects of iridescent, metallic, translucent & base colours to create the special desired effect for each piece.

Vladimir Volegov is among the finest Russian artists of all time. His style is distinctive and raises him among the modern day masters, with an ability to capture the light on the canvasses. We arefortunate to be one of only a few galleries in the UK to have his work for sale. Born in Russia, he started to paint at the age of three. It is interesting that so many fine artists showed interest in art at the early stages of their life.

I am passionate about the need for wilderness and the plight of Britain's endangered animals. My animal sculptures and wall plaques focus primarily on threatened species in the UK, and celebrate thesuccess stories and are stylistically inspired by etchings, woodblock prints, early 20th century illustration and Art Deco stone carving. My earliest influences as a teenager were the Natural History, Archaeology and Anthropology museums of Cambridge, and they inspire me still.
Studio Dix Neuf is an art gallery in Dartmouth showing exclusively and in mysterious interplay the idiosyncratic and unique artworks by Lys Flowerday and Gilles Bourlet. Dreamlike images by Lys andthought-provoking luminous sculptures by Gilles are synchronously whimsical and puzzling, sober and eccentric, questioning and reposeful. Resolutely unsystematic, these objects and images of desire are crafted with passion to celebrate a handmade aesthetic.

Im oftenasked why we are located here at the end of a peninsula at the far end of the land, and how can we survive so far from the city?
