Generator is a Dundee-based organisation established in 1996. Alongside the primary aim of being collectively held by those who wish to engage and support the continuation of the organisation,Generator hosts a project and exhibition space better known as Generator Projects. This space was established to allow creative practitioners, developing experimental, critical and/or contemporarily relevant work, the opportunity to exhibit.
Helen Glassford the co-founder of TATHA, was born in Lancaster in 1976 and grew up in the foothills of the Lake District. She came to Dundee to study a Fine Art Painting degree at Duncan ofJordanstone College of Art in 1995 alongside such contemporaries as Paul Reid, Delia Baille and Robert MacMillan.
Ever since I was a little girl I have loved drawing and painting. I always knew I wanted to be an artist so after studying art at high school in Ayrshire I continued my art education at GlasgowCollege of Building and Printing and Cardonald College. In 2002, after building a large portfolio of various types of work, I gained a place at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee.
