Rumours Decorative Arts were first established back in 1985, we exhibited at many quality Antique Fairs across the country showing a varied selection of English Art Pottery ceramics. In 1986 wediscovered Moorcroft Pottery by purchasing by chance, a 1940's piece of the Anemone pattern on a Blue ground, at a local Antiques Fair and just loved it, at that time not very many people knew of the Pottery and it was still relatively undiscovered.
The gallery has a diverse range of work from Ceramics, Glass, Jewellery, paintings and print as well as much more. A series of riddles and clues throughout the book led to the place where a gold harewas buried. The secret location was actually in Ampthill park itself and It seemed only right to name the gallery after this beautiful item and story.
Picture Corner has been trading in Ampthill, Bedfordshire for over 20 years. Hilltop Studio is set high in the hills above Wendover Woods in St Leonards, which is one of the Hilltop Villages. You will find us situated next to the village church, in the front garden of whatused to be the rectory. The studio is well sign posted when we are open and visitors can usually find somewhere to park, but are also welcome to park at the church.
White Art Club launches at The Berkeley Gallery with a personal appearance by award-winning and, quite literally, record breaking artist, Ben Riley. Using a combination of broken vinyl and groundrecord dust, Riley brings musical legends to life on canvas; from The Rolling Stones to Jimi Hendrix, Frank Sinatra to Robbie Williams. White Art Club is privileged to host Ben at the Berkeley Gallery on the eve of his latest exhibition in New York City.
2015 marks my 26th year picture framing in Harpenden and my colleague Sarah Sharp GCF has been working with me for the last ten of these. In these ever changing times we're happy to report that nottoo much has changed in the world of framing, and in fact we quite like it that way.
