Kerris, could not be more Cornish, he was born and raised in the Duchy, and has remained there throughout his working life. He won a scholarship to Penzance School of art at the age of 14, where hestudied a wide range of subjects including pottery under Michael leach, son of the celebrated Bernard Leach of St. Ives.

I was born in Northumberland in 1973, and spent most of my childhood in the North East of England. From a very early age I had shown natural ability to draw and paint. I excelled in art-relatedsubjects, always gaining top grades throughout school and college. I would often venture down to the beautiful North Cornish coast year after year, for the vast sandy beaches and rugged coastline.

In 2007 Padstow Fine Art was founded by David Pearce in the heart of Padstow and has become a much loved and admired gallery. After 8 very successful years we are moving to new premises giving us theopportunity to also show sculpture in a natural garden setting. The new gallery will feature original works by Stephanie and myself alongside our favourite ceramics from around the world.
