Born in Berkshire in 1949, Tony now lives and works from his studio and home in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. An accomplished guitarist, he explored various opportunities in the fields of music andcommercial art before settling on a career as a professional artist in 1975.

We feature local and regional artists and their work; including painting, sculpture, glass, printmaking, jewellery, ceramics and textiles. Get to grips with some remarkable artworks from contemporarytextile and ceramic makers. Showcasing the talents and techniques of some of the most brilliant and innovated local textile artists, who use a huge variety of methods, materials and design ideas to create some truly stunning artwork.

Art in the Mill presents a year round programme of mixed and solo exhibitions in its 'Blue Skies Gallery' and has ample space to exhibit a wide variety of handmade jewellery, ceramics, glassware andbronzes throughout. The Cooper Gallery is a vibrant creative art-space in the heart of Barnsley town centre, it has a regular programme of contemporary touring exhibitions and exciting events. The Gallery is also home tothe Craft Showcase which features crafts and artwork for sale by regional and local artists. The Gallery is home to the Cooper Trustees collection of 17th to 20th century paintings, watercolours and drawings by artists including JMW Turner, Wadsworth and Atkinson Grimshaw.
