About the Business
We are an independent gallery which opened its doors in March 2005 with the aim of representing a small group of predominantly West Country based artists. Our mission was to select the most talented artists in each medium and genre both living and deceased. To that end we specialize in the work of the late Brixham based artist John Chancellor (1925-1984) who is regarded as probably the finest marine painter of his generation. With only 150 works in existence, to own one of John's original paintings is to be a member of a very exclusive club. Lenkiewicz. This often controversial but brilliant artist was a man of many complexities but ultimately a great, great portraitist. One of the finest current figurative painters is the hugely acclaimed Lancashire based painter Mark Demsteader. This ex butcher has in recent times taken the art world by storm and is now held in very high esteem on a global stage. We are very proud to represent Mark in the West Country.
