Ards Arts Centre aims to bring ART TO LIFE in the Borough by presenting a programme of leisure classes, exhibitions and performances of dance, drama, and music at the Town Hall Arts Centre. Ourprogramme also features festivals and one off workshops. Some performance events in our programme take advantage of other suitable venues throughout the Borough.
Paul Dennison has been painting fine art for 30 years. He works in pastel and acrylic and his paintings have been exhibited and sold throughout Northern Ireland. His work includes detailed landscapes,still life and various types of animals and birds. Whilst raised in Ballymena, Paul now lives in the coastal town of Carrickfergus and is currently a teacher in Cullybackey College.

I was born in Belfast in 1951. In 1978 the success of my first one-man show promped me to turn professional. Several exhibitions followed and I have fond memories of my one-man exhibitions at theMagee Gallery Belfast, which sold out on the opening night. Another successful show in New York established me with a good reputation and in 1989 I was elected a member of the Ulster Watercolour Society.

Platform is an artist-led studio group and contemporary art gallery based in Belfast's city centre. Our role is to actively promote creative expression, presentation and access to contemporary artpractice through our Exhibition, Education and Studio Programmes. Platform has a number of studio spaces that are rented to our member artists in order to support their professional development as practicing artists. The main gallery, at roughly 3000 square feet, benefits from a very adaptable framework.
