The Gallery is housed in two listed heritage buildings linked by an award winning contemporary structure and is an independent Trust dating from 1957 and a registered charity (No:310318). The original gallery building housing the Permanent Collection is also an accredited Museum.

A fine art oil painter and master etcher with a love of traditional painting and printmaking methods, techniques and skills, and with a printmaker's instinct for multiple images, Colin also utilisesmodern fine art technology and uses digital photography to capture pictures, views images and scenes that he translates into iconic paintings and etchings of the local area.
We are located a short walk from the Jerwood Gallery in Hastings Old Town and exhibit original paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolour as well as Jon's popular limited edition prints andphotographs. The gallery provides visitors with an opportunity to meet and purchase work directly from our artists.
But what exactly is St Mary's? We are not a church, we are not a castle, and we are not located in the Castle which sits on the cliff behind us. St Mary's was a church, but now we are an amazing venuedevoted to arts and culture. We have an auditorium, a crypt gallery, a meeting room, and an intimate baptistry bar, all of which could be used for a range of events, all are available to hire now.

Smallhythe Studio, run by Debbie Hynard and Rowena McWilliams, is an exciting new gallery and art centre near Tenterden which exhibits and promotes high quality contemporary art. Smallhythe Studioexhibits work by successful contemporary artists, primarily from the south east of England, with an emphasis on landscape and abstract work. The studio also uncovers and supports promising new artists, offering them exhibition space and helping them to develop their work.
