John Freeman is well known for his paintings of the North Yorkshire landscape, and in recent years, working almost exclusively in water colours, has established a reputation for his exciting snowscenes of the area creating a combination of clarity and warmth not often found in this type of subject. A selection of his work is now in print and it is proposed to add regularly to this collection of over 100 subjects in both open and limited editions.

My Inspiration comes from the ever-changing countryside of the vast County of North Yorkshire. In bad weather a Still Life will be set up and of course there is always a cat about ready to pose. Ialso have a change of subject at a weekly Life Drawing Group and have recently taken up Printing.

Artist David Pinkett was born in Nottinghamshire in 1961 and has always been fascinated by art. His inspiration for art comes from his father and photography from his grandfather on his mothers side.He developed skills as a model maker which led to him construction exclusive models for eminent figures in F1 motorsport, from this he worked on a variety of projects for high profile clients. He first exhibited art works at a local open exhibition in Nottinghamshire, in the early 1990's.

Whether working in clay or with paint, I apply the same principal of building up layers and texture. Using different thicknesses of paint, and utilizing collage, ink and pastel, I can create surfaceinterest and depth in the painting. By using clay as a canvas, I can build up the surface in various stages by using slips, oxides and glazes, often multi firing and adding to a piece until I am satisfied with the results.
Corner Gallery is a new studio gallery in the vibrant Bishopthorpe Road area. Run by Andres Jaroslavsky, the gallery operates as a display space and as an open studio. Andres Jaroslavsky is aself-taught painter specializing in portraiture who has had several solo exhibitions. In August 2014, Andres completed his Masters in Creative Practice at Leeds College of Art. Among his many local commissions are paintings for York restaurants The Olive Tree, Il Paradiso del Cibo and El Gaucho.
I work mainly in Gouache on standard art paper producing paintings of various size, but if required can work in other mediums such as acrylic, watercolours etc. Living in Scarborough on the NorthYorkshire coast gives me such stunning compositions throughout the changing seasons of the year. The views along this stretch of coast have given inspiration to many artists over the years.
Born in Berkshire in 1949, Tony now lives and works from his studio and home in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. An accomplished guitarist, he explored various opportunities in the fields of music andcommercial art before settling on a career as a professional artist in 1975.
